I rarely have the time or ability to make an actual written-with-words entry on my blog. Most of the time I just post the same drawings that I post here on DA.
But two days ago, I learned that the Mickey Mouse Short that I've been working on has been pulled from production. This unfortunate turn of events knocked me out of my normal mind-space while simultaneously clearing my schedule (because, what am I going to do if I go into work on Friday? Sit there and look at my desk? The project is OVER).
So rather than sit around sulking, I began to write. Or, to be more accurate, "while" I was sitting around sulking, I also began to write.
And then I posted it to my blog. Which is something I almost never do.
More Vacation, more gaps in my weekly drawings.
No, I didn't die. Nor did I get fed up and stomp away from DA in an angry huff.
I just went on vacation.
But now I'm back, and I can post the drawings that I WOULD have posted, had I been here.
Spring Break 2013
Hi.
I've been away for a few days, visiting Yosemite national park with my family. REALLY pretty place. Probably the most spectacular mountain/valley formations I've ever seen in my life. Amazing.
I had a friend upload these drawings to my Facebook account, but I didn't post them here before I left (like I was able to do last year).
So here they are. A little late, but all are present and accounted for, sir.
Enjoy.
Website! Plus, the end of my show.
Hello everybody.
My beloved job is coming to an end. Boo hoo.
All of these cartoon shows have a "final episode". But I'm always in denial that it'll ever happen. But, it's how the industry works and I know it. Ultimately, it jiggles us up and keeps us forever thinking about new things, new opportunities, new outlets. "Creative destruction", and all that.
And I know that the fine folks at P&F have other things cooking, but it might be 6-18 months down the road, for those of us who might potentially work on it. That's a really long time, so all of the people in the current crew will have to go out and get new jobs.
And I should mention for

It's an honor! Thank you for all the love!
And of course, it couldn't have come at a busier time! I have to pitch a Phineas and Ferb episode tomorrow and I'm not even...uh...I still have a TON of work to do on it, so I've got to draw like a madman today. Also freelance and Christmas season which always makes me hang on for dear life.
So I can't respond with individual "Thank You"s (even though I totally want to!) But thanks to all of you, espec NiHZ for suggesting me and ^JCROXAS for featuring me.
Wheeee!

Two months sounds fun. I'm usually done with projects in a week or less, but that's how my work rolls.
Best of luck!
